CHOU CHOU

This is a picture book I created, named Chou Chou.
It tells the story of how my dog and I met in 2008, back when Chou Chou was a young street dog, and I was still in middle school. From that moment on, we became the most important companions in each other’s lives and never spent a day apart. I took him with me through college, studying abroad, starting my career, and becoming a freelance illustrator. 

Even now, as I look at these pages and then at 18-year-old Chou Chou sleeping beside me, I still feel much happiness and gratitude.

Later on, I also created a book trailer for this project, which was honored with the Society of Illustrators’ Uncommercial Catalog Gold Award. Afterwards, the work was selected for several book exhibitions. This book opened many doors for me and led to numerous picture book collaborations. I am truly grateful for everything it has brought into my life.
